CAMBRIDGE - 20 July, 2016 - We are now welcoming enquiries from prospective players interested in joining the Cambridge University Ice Hockey Club (CUIHC). The club consists of three teams, and welcomes all players regardless of whether they’ve never played hockey before, or they’ve been playing competitively their whole lives. It’s strongly advised that you bring your hockey gear to Cambridge, though the club has some equipment available for use by players with none.

Cambridge, July 2016 - The 2015-2016 season was certainly one to remember for the Cambridge Light Blues. A Division 1 South title, a national championship against Nottingham, 2 Varsity matches, and 5 total victories (in 5 occasions) against their Oxford Rivals. With only 9 returning players, the core was there and a number of fresh additions helped build the depth and skill that took them to new heights. One key addition was coach Joseph Marshall. Joseph’s understanding of the game, calm demeanour and positive attitude helped keep the team disciplined during games and focused during practice sessions.

Women's Blues: Season 2015-16

by Stephanie Owen
2015-16 was an enjoyable, hard-fought season and hopefully the beginning of a turn around for the Women's Blues who have had difficult seasons in recent years. The team, spearheaded by wonder woman and literal living legend Norwegian Hanna Ajer, has played this year in the BUIHA's Non-Checking south 2 division. We were once again joined by many complete novices who threw themselves into the sport with passion and drive and have contributed dramatically to the core of the team.

Eskies: Season 2015-16

By Ryan McGinley

It was another exciting season for the Cambridge Eskimos last year.  In addition to winning the Oxford Vikings annual varsity match, the Eskies also managed to win the Stahlpokal (Steel Cup) in Linz, Austria.  It was the last season for our good friend and captain Luc St Pierre - who moved to Finland.  In more serious news, we have officially taken on Slovak as our official team language.

SHEFFIELD – April 17, 2016 - Fresh off claiming the BUIHA Division 1 South title, the Cambridge Men’s Light Blues headed to Sheffield this past Sunday to take on the Nottingham Mavericks, the winners of the BUIHA North division. Styles make fights, and this one put the nation’s best offense from Nottingham against the nation’s best defense fromCambridge. It was going to be a tough test if the light Blues were going to take their first ever national title.
